M2 Consulting Corporation provides value engineering services to our civilian, defense, and commercial clients.  Value engineering, also called value analysis, lean, total quality management, and business process engineering, has as it’s goal the reduction of costs, without a reduction in product quality or process performance.  For ideal cost optimization, one would like to see a reduction in costs and improved products or processes.  For products, value engineering changes may include:  material substitutions, common designs, open architectures, and use of COTS equipment.  For processes, changes may include:  streamlined processes and bulk buying.
